PRINCE RUPERT COVE
ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS
PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
We provided landscape design services for a large property with several buildings in its transformation from an energy-consuming to an energy-producing site. This includes site development concepts for various undeveloped waterfront parcels into one amenity project facing the beach. Landscape design and design-build interventions were provided for various areas, including the nearby small public cove, with the introduction of native species after the elimination of many invasive plants, along with green stormwater design and the setup and management of a nursery with a large composting operation to create organic amendments from all the landscape clippings that were going to waste. The site slowly transitioned from the use of chemical fertilizers that were polluting the cove ocean water to organic matter and soil produced on-site. We also prepared a comprehensive landscape management illustrated book to guide a more sustainable landscape maintenance approach across the large property well into the future.
